Application Instructions

On Furniture:

To treat furniture or other wooden surfaces, apply two coats of our PRIMER Q, aiming to make the surface as waterproof as possible. Once the primer is completely dry, proceed with applying the Base Plaster for Furniture using a trowel. This unique plaster is enriched with fibers and resins, providing elasticity to accommodate wood movement without detaching.

Allow the base plaster to dry completely (about 24 hours). After the base layer dries, apply the first coat of PIETRA STONE. This material comes in powder form and must be mixed with water according to the proportions specified above. Achieve a consistency that facilitates application with the trowel and spatula. Ensure the first coat of PIETRA STONE is as uniform as possible. Leave it to dry until the glossy effect caused by water on the surface is no longer perceptible, then proceed with the second coat of PIETRA STONE. Here, the goal is to achieve a smooth, hole-free finish to minimize subsequent steps. To achieve this, smooth the surface several times with the trowel, using both the blade edge and, by adding a bit of water with a spray bottle, the flat part of the trowel itself in a random circular motion on the wet surface.

Finally, after two days, lightly sand the surface using an orbital sander with P120 and P180 sandpaper.

On Walls:

Apply a coat of QUARTZ PRIMER to the surface. Once the primer is completely dry, proceed with applying the first coat of PIETRA STONE using a trowel. The material should be diluted according to the ratio specified above to get a paste that can be easily applied with the trowel or spatula. Allow the first coat to dry completely (about 24 hours). After the first layer dries, apply the second coat of PIETRA STONE, ensuring it's as uniform as possible. Leave it to dry until the glossy effect caused by water on the surface is no longer perceptible, then proceed with the third coat.

Repairs:

Any fillings, following the sanding, can always be done with the PIETRA STONE material, taking care to remove any dust before application.

Protective Treatment:

A final protective treatment can be done with our transparent varnishes: PU1C or SOFT TOUCH. The latter has a pleasant soft effect to the touch, and excellent protection against liquids.

Maintenance

No special work is required in maintenance, just remove the dust periodically. Protect the coating from any contact with liquid either rain or continuous water flowing down the wall. If any liquid such as coffee is spilled on the surface, clean immediately.

Tools

SI TROWEL, SCRAPERS, CORNER TROWEL. Clean with water immediately after use.
